Once an ambitious student, Jason sacrificed his future and accumulated heavy debts trying to save his ailing foster father, eventually ending up destitute on city streets alongside his loyal dog Bruce. While collecting discarded scrap, Jason is accidentally struck by a luxury car driven by Hathaway, the nation's celebrated screen queen. Hurrying to an urgent media briefing, Hathaway accidentally leaves behind an irreplaceable heirloom necklace at the scene. Instead of pawning the jewel for quick wealth, Jason's genuine integrity compels him to seek out the glamorous star to return it, sparking an improbable connection between two people from wildly different worlds.
